Courage Integrity Service
I wanted to take a moment to personally thank each one of you for your unwavering support, for generously giving of your time, treasure, support, and enthusiasm.
When we began this journey back in January, we could never have envisioned how much our world and lives would be changed by COVID-19. Nor could we have envisioned the Social Justice Movement that swept across our Nation after the murder of George Floyd.
While the world was rapidly changing around us, we stayed on course, sharing our message and vision for the future of Redwood City. We accomplished phenomenal things! We were endorsed by Labor Unions and Business Owners, Democrats and Republicans, First-time voters & seniors. People from all faiths and all walks of life came together around the common belief that it was time for new leadership in Redwood City. Leadership that represented and worked for the greater good of all of our residents.
As many of you know, running for office was not a long-held goal or plan of mine. Actually, the idea originated in our community. I'm so glad you talked me into running. Johanna, the kids, and I have had the time of our lives over these past 10 months!
Soon, the City of Redwood City will begin the process of redrawing the boundaries of our 7 Voting Districts. While I don't which Districts we will be placed in or when our next election cycle will be, I do know that I will be running to represent you and your families on our City Council.
Johanna and I remain grateful for your friendship and support, and thank each of you for sharing this journey with us!
Yours in service,
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith
